Mangrove began with Old Florida. Mangrove tunnels, tannin-dark creeks, oyster beds, and alligators slipping beneath the surface.
I wanted that landscape to come through in the materials. Bronze brings warmth to the case and develops a patina with wear. The engraving follows its contours like roots along the water’s edge, while alligator-leg leather carries that texture onto the wrist.
Polished details catch the light against the engraved bronze. The watch changes as the case ages, making each one a little more personal over time.

American Alligator Leg Leather
The Mangrove’s connection to the wild continues beyond its bronze case. American alligator leg leather carries its character in three dimensions, with raised scales and irregular contours that feel right at home on a watch inspired by Florida’s waterways.
Each strap is custom-made for your AEVN in a small independent workshop, by a leather artisan practicing the craft since 2014. Hand-cut leather, waxed-linen stitching, and individually finished edges bring care and precision to a naturally untamed material.
Underneath, soft Zermatt calf leather rests against the wrist, while an internal reinforcement helps the strap hold its shape. Brown, Black, or Cognac gives the Mangrove its own character, each finished with a bronze buckle to complement the case.
Our strap maker supplies CITES documentation for its American alligator leather, adding a documented sourcing history to a material chosen for its unmistakable natural character.
