The short version

AEVN exists for watches that feel more personal than a mass-market catalog piece but more intentional than random parts thrown together.

AEVN is built by Evan Johnson, a product manager, engineer, and longtime hands-on builder. Before watches, the background was custom audio, mechanical problem solving, product development, and making physical things that had to look good and work in the real world.

The brand idea is simple: unexpected luxury pairings. Bronze with organic leather. Burgundy with warm metal. Purple with gold. Olive with rose gold. Materials and colors that feel interesting, wearable, and slightly outside the obvious choices.

AEVN offers finished ready-to-wear designs in small batches and custom commissions for people who want a watch built around a personal direction, color palette, brand, outfit, story, or occasion.

What AEVN is / is not

No fake heritage. No options maze.

01

Design-led

Every watch should have a clear concept and visual reason to exist.

02

Small batch

AEVN is intentionally small so each release and commission can stay focused.

03

Conversation-driven

Custom work starts with a direction and a conversation, not a confusing configurator.

FAQ / policies

Set expectations before money changes hands.

Keep these plain and honest. Update once you decide final warranty, returns, deposit, and shipping terms.

How long do ready-to-wear preorders take?

Mangrove Bronze currently lists an estimated six-week lead time. Update this if sourcing or assembly timing changes.

How long do custom watches take?

Custom commissions typically take about eight weeks after design approval and deposit.

Do custom watches start below $500?

No. Custom AEVN commissions begin at $500. Smaller budgets are better suited for ready-to-wear releases.

Are custom watches returnable?

Placeholder: define your policy clearly. Custom/personalized items are usually not returnable unless there is a defect or build issue.

Is the watch water resistant?

Only claim a rating after you are confident in the parts, gaskets, assembly, and testing. Until then, keep language conservative.

Will bronze and leather change over time?

Yes. Bronze can patina and natural leather varies. Present that as part of the character, while setting expectations clearly.

Ready-to-wear or fully personal?

Start with Mangrove Bronze or send a custom direction for a guided commission.
