AEVN was founded by Evan Johnson, an engineer and hands-on builder with fifteen years of professional experience. Before starting AEVN, Evan ran a custom CNC and fabrication shop, led new product development for an electronics company, and worked in manufacturing engineering for complex industrial machinery.
That experience shapes the way each watch comes together. How the case sits on the wrist. How the dial catches the light. How the texture of a strap changes the whole piece. Every choice has a part to play.
AEVN watches are engineered, engraved, assembled, and regulated in Florida, using components sourced from specialist suppliers. The work brings modern tools and a personal eye to something entirely mechanical.

Woodwork, metalwork, product builds, and years of shop projects share a familiar rhythm: make the idea real, spend time with it, and keep refining the details.

The warmth of bronze and alligator leather in Mangrove, from the original blue dial to the tannin-dark Mocha interpretation. The parchment-like texture of Damask, with Tan Parchment, Pale Pink or Lavender Mist dials in a silver-tone or gold-tone case. The hand-wound rhythm and visible movement of Époque. The pearlescent green, gold-veined dial and distorted crystal of Arête. The legible GMT dial and steel bracelet of OMNI, in 36 mm and 40 mm cases. How long do orders take?
Collection watches ship approximately six weeks after ordering. This is build time; delivery time is additional and depends on the destination. Custom commission timelines are listed on the commission page.
Can I customize a ready-to-wear watch?
Ready-to-wear models are sold as finished AEVN designs. Choose from the dial, strap, and size options offered on each model’s page. Design changes beyond those options are handled through the custom commission process.
How do custom commissions work?
Custom commissions begin with an inquiry and an approved design direction. After approval, 50% starts sourcing and assembly. The remaining balance is due before shipment.
Can I cancel or return a collection watch?
Orders are final once placed. AEVN watches are made to order, and parts are allocated and production begins after purchase. Orders cannot be canceled or refunded for change of mind once placed, except where required by law. This does not affect the 30-day workmanship warranty. See the full order policies.
Are custom watches returnable?
No. Custom watches are built around a specific personal direction and are final sale once the design is approved and the build has started.
What do custom commissions cost?
Custom AEVN commissions begin at $750.
Are AEVN watches water resistant?
Water resistance varies by model: Mangrove Blue and Mangrove Mocha are rated to 200 m with screw-down crowns; Damask, Damask Gold, and Arête are rated to 50 m with screw-down crowns. Époque has a push/pull crown and 0 m water resistance: keep it dry. OMNI specifications and care guidance are listed on the 36 mm and 40 mm model pages. How do I get help with my watch?

What does the 30-day workmanship warranty cover?
AEVN covers assembly-related issues that appear under normal use within 30 days of delivery. If a covered issue is confirmed, AEVN may repair, adjust, replace, or refund the watch at its discretion.
What is not covered?
The warranty does not cover drops, impact damage, scratches, strap wear, bronze patina, leather darkening, magnetism, misuse, customer modification, work performed by anyone other than AEVN, or water damage from use outside the water-resistance guidance for the model.
