The AEVN Damask began with parchment.
I’ve loved books and language for as long as I can remember. My first major, before I went into engineering, was linguistics. Four brutal semesters of Mandarin Chinese plus four semesters of Koine Greek were surprisingly enjoyable for me. I spent years studying languages and literature; even today the AEVN office is lined with books. Reading and learning have always been a huge part of who I am.
When I began designing the Damask, I wanted to capture something from that world, not by putting words or literary symbols all over a watch, but through the material itself.

That contrast became the whole design.
No elaborate dial decoration. No oversized branding. Just AEVN, a few carefully chosen details, and enough empty space to let the texture speak for itself.
Damask is my interpretation of parchment, language, books, and the written ideas that survive long after the person who first put them to paper.

Rose Cream
Milled leather · Pebbled grain · Pink edges
Soft cream leather and matching stitching bring a gentle contrast to the silver case. The leather face is cream; pink edge finishing adds a subtle two-tone detail.
How milling creates the texture
Milling is a mechanical softening process: the leather is tumbled in a large rotating drum to soften its fibers and bring out its natural grain. The result is a supple feel and a gently pebbled texture, with subtle variations from one piece to the next.
Caramel Brown Vachetta

Caramel brown leather gives each dial a richer contrast, with a smooth surface and matching brown stitching.
Individually cut, shaped, hand-stitched and edge-finished, with French Zermatt leather lining against the skin. Natural grain gives every piece its own character.
Dark Ash Brown Goat
Alran Sully goatskin · Tanned in France
Dark ash brown gives the watch a quiet, earthy contrast. Fine pebbled grain catches the light across the surface, bringing depth and subtle variation to the deep brown tone.
Alran has tanned leather in Mazamet, France since 1903. Its Sully goatskin is made for fine leather goods and watch straps, pairing a tightly defined, shrunken grain with a substantial feel.
